MEET ATTENDANCE REPORTING |
|
| |
Swimmers with anticipated absences, late arrivals and early departures (vacation, summer camp, etc.) need to SIGN OUT ON SHEETS POSTED AT THE POOL as soon as possible. You must do so by Tuesday at 11:00 for the upcoming Saturday’s meet. The clerks, computer people, and coaches have hundreds of entries to process and review, and it is essential to have accurate information available. The coaches decide on Tuesday at 11:00 which swimmers will participate in each event. We realize that it is impossible to anticipate illness, but please call one of the coaches as soon as it is clear a swimmer will be unable to attend a meet, even if it is the morning of the event. |

MEET CHECK-IN PROCEDURE |
|
| |
All swimmers must be checked in by 7:45 am. When a swimmer arrives at a meet, it is his/her responsibility to check in with their age level tent mom and to circle their name on the Raveneaux Check In Board. Please read Meet Information below, for more information on this subject. The Clerk of Course will review this list at 7:45 a.m. Anyone not checked in at that time will have their name circled in ink and will be considered absent and ineligible to swim in the Medley Relay (Free Relay for 6 and Under). NO RELAY SUBSTITUTIONS WILL BE MADE AFTER 8:00! If you arrive late, you WILL NOT be swimming in the Medley Relay (Free Relay for 6 and Under). We will not change swimmers back after notifying tent parents and other swimmers of changes created by a late arrival. Swimmers arriving after 7:45 am will be considered absent and scratched from the MEET. You cannot be re-entered in the meet after you have been scratched. Also, DO NOT sign in for friends and family members who are not physically at the meet. There is no guarantee that the missing swimmer will arrive, and this can cost the team a chance to replace a swimmer and force a forfeit of a relay. The tent parents are the final check point for the clerk, and circling in a swimmer who has not yet arrived causes confusion for all involved. |
